TGI Sunday! is an activity held on alternate Sunday mornings that has been running since September 2009. The meeting is sub-titled ‘Messy Church’ for Cool Kidz and all the Family!
TGI Sunday!has come about through links and friendships with St Mark’s C.E. Junior School in Shirley. It is a tangible means of bringing the love of God to the children and families of the school, as well as the surrounding community.
TGI Sunday! also provides an opportunity for children and families of Bridge Christian Fellowship to meet for worship, fun, teaching and refreshments on the weeks when the usual church timetable only provides an evening meeting for teens and adults.
TGI Sunday! meets in the school hall at St Mark’s C.E. Junior School Hall at 10.30 am until 12.00 noon and afterwards in ‘The Nest’ for further children’s activities whilst parents and friends have a chance to fellowship, pray and enjoy refreshments.
By the way, when we say ‘Messy Church’ , that’s what we mean! So suitable clothes are the order of the day. Fun activities could mean they get wet or sticky!
It would be great if you could arrange for your child to attend. Come along yourself too!
TGI Sunday! is also there to serve the spiritual needs of the children of the school. As a result, we regularly link with school activities such as…

These weeks occur throughout the year in the school Calendar and are supported by a team of school’s workers lead by Chris Davies of Southampton City Mission. The children will spend the week concentrating on special lessons and activities designed for them to explore either a Christian Festival such as Pentecost, or seeing how the Bible deals with themes such as ‘bullying and reconciliation’ by studying the story of Joseph.
On the Sunday following each Leap in Faith Week, we schedule a TGI Sunday! This provides an opportunity for children and parents in the St. Mark’s community to conclude the week by experiencing family worship and celebration following the same theme.
